Apache Gold! A single source chalcopyrite / black schist that
was discovered in a Jerome, AZ copper mine. This is the real
thing. We acquired this material from the estate of a geologist
formerly employed by the mine. The mirror-bright finish on the
gold colored chalcopyrite is difficult to photograph, but we are
sure you'll be as delighted with this rare material as we are.
Barrel shape with a river of gold running lengthwise through the face of
the stone. More "gold" than the average stone so it should make a flashy pendant.
Freeform cab with a great diagonal pattern of gold veins. Perfect size and shape for
a unique custom jewelry design. One of our favorites.
Modified triangle with a jaunty angle to the bottom of the stone. A substantial
stone large enough to be an eye-catcher from quite a distance.
Very large teardrop shape with a perfect mix of gold and black in the classic
type of pattern this material is known for. Great centerpiece for a necklace.
Bullet-shaped modified triangle with graceful arcs and rounded corners. Elegant
shape with lots of gold against the black background.
Freeform shape perfect for a custom pendant. Should appeal to the inner jewelry
designer in anyone who appreciates unique stones.
