Apache Gold! A single source chalcopyrite / black schist that
was discovered in a Jerome, AZ copper mine. This is the real
thing. We acquired this material from the estate of a geologist
formerly employed by the mine. The mirror-bright finish on the
gold colored chalcopyrite is difficult to photograph, but we are
sure you'll be as delighted with this rare material as we are.
Large chunky triangle with lots of gold. Nice size and
proportions for a drop pendant or as a focal bead for a bold necklace.
Beautiful freeform shape with mirror-bright gold. You might even see
the reflection of the camera in the gold in a few of the photos.
Elongated teardrop shape almost completely covered in gold. The slender proportions
should allow a more subtle and understated pendant design.
Absolutely breathtaking presentation of pattern in this stone. Suggests to
me a golden tree against a highly polished black background.
Bottle-shaped custom cab should guarantee a unique
jewelry design. The gold veins which flow vertically
through the face of the piece are truly striking.
Rounded rectangle with complementary pattern of gold
"nuggets" distributed nicely throughout. Could be set
into a bracelet or a nice pendant.
